I dont' have money to join a gym or to purchase dumbells or tredmills. I need to loose my cottage cheese thighs and buldging stomach. I would also like to have my face be tinner. I have a lot of baby fat. Any kind of suggestions would be great.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hello, I have not been on a diet for the past 16 months, ever since my physical. Since January 14 2006, or somewhere there about, I have been on a life changing experience. I weighed 340 pounds, my a1c(sugar levels for the past 3 months test) was at or near 270 per day, but my cholesterol was fine. The doctor told me to cut back to 40 grams of fat a day, and only eat 1600 calories a day. Well almost every adult in my family and a lot of them around me are diabetics, and not in the healthiest condition. So I took the doctors recommendation and ran with it. Of course it is not easy to cut back from what I was eating, but I was scared into it. Well enough of the sob story, I have lost about 120 pounds and my sugar level are fine. the best way to lose wait is to be active and eat a lot less than what you might be accustomed to. read the labels on the food packages, and remember to see how many servings are in the diagram. Walking is always free. Just up the street and back is a start. Start slow and build up your endurance. And always consult a doctor before starting such a drastic way of life. Hang in there it did not take you a week to get where you are, you will see results you just have to keep plugging away at it.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
