Firist off his glasses have something wrong with them, and they're all blurry and scratched and hard to see out of, but i don't think that would cause these symptoms:
Eyes that become red,
Itch
Tired Eyes
A mucus-Like substance leaks out of them frequently.

I know it's gross, but we don't have any money to go to the doc and he's had these symptoms for several years. We've moved to severall places and they've never changed (outting allergies) Any ideas?

You need to make an appointment with a physician or optometrist. Sometimes you need to spend the money. If you've spent money on moving and other treatements over the past few years, I can guarantee you that you have already invested a lot of money in trying to self-treat this. Cut back for a month on going out to eat or shopping, and get his eyes checked once and for all. What if this is something worse, and more progressive? The value you place on his eyes is worth more than a doctor visit, not to mention the peace of mind and better ability to treat the problem efficiently.

You shouldn't eliminate allergies just because you have moved. He may be allergic to different things that are in all of the locations - or even something inside the house. Do you have pets? Have you tried using additive-free laundry detergent? There are all kinds of things inside the home that could cause problems.

If you haven't gotten these same symptoms, I'd rule out conjunctivitis...it's highly contagious, so you'd know by now if it were that.

I highly suggest that you contact your local Lion's Club...Your Chamber of Commerce would have information about how to reach them. They can probably help to find an ophthalmologist in your area who would work for free or at least cheap. I know they do that kind of thing here in my town.

Looks like he could have hay-fever.

I get hay-fever throughout the year and it effects my eyes like your husbands.

Go to your Pharmacy for some drops or tablets.

Good luck ... take care.

conjuctivitis? or just long term allergies possibly. I'm not a doctor, and that's who you should probably see.
