If you are going to be baptized as a Reform/Presbyterian (I know -- you're not, but I thought I would at least give you a viewpoint from a mainstream Christian denomination), baptism at home would not be fitting because the pastor would ask the entire congregation to participate in that baptism through a promise of nurturing your Christian life. To deprive them of that would say that the congregation means nothing to you; and you would also be making a statement that you're not submitting to the authority of the church and its discipline, in that nurturing.

Talk to the leader (local of course) of the religion you want to join..

I have seen baptisms for 2 different religions.. Mormon and Jehovah's Witness.. I have seen them done at church in a baptismal font, in a swimming pool, in a lake, in a river, and once in the therapeutic whirlpool at a hospital..

Different religions have different takes on what it means to baptize you will be best off asking the people in the religion you wish to join what their specific take on the ritual is..

If however you are not joining a specific religion and are just wanting to be baptized decide what your take on it is and do it that way...

Amber,
You can certainly be baptized at home. There is no biblical requirement that baptizism be done in a certain location. I know of people being baptized in their home for several reasons.

The Bible states at Roamns 10:9,10" For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation."
So baptism should be done publicly....but knowledge leads to baptism, so one should have an accurate knowledge of the truth of God's Word before getting baptized. I would strongly urge you to visit www.watchtower.org to request a free copy of "What Does The Bible Really Teach?" (published by Jehovah's Witnesses) and learn more about what God requires of us.

You can do it at church, in a pool, or in any body of water, as long as it is done publicly.
Christian baptism is simply a step of obedience, a public proclamation of one’s faith in Christ alone for salvation. Christian baptism is important because it is a step of obedience – publicly declaring faith in Christ and commitment to Him, and identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

By another Christian - full immersion - does not matter where but most people want at least a couple of witnesses.

Go here and print it out place it on your fridge. Use the printer friendly version.

Can you be fully immersed in your tub at home? If it is big enough for you to be dunked ok. It should be done in front of athers as it is a public profession of your faith and intent to obey God.

You can be baptized anywhere. It is the action that is important, not the setting.

It does not matter where you get baptised, as long as your heart is seeking to obey God, which it appears you are doing.

Phillip and the eunach were walking along, and they came across some water. The baptism took place just there.
"See here is water - what hinders me to be baptised".
Wonderful!
