homosexuall. We have no right to have any form of disdain for another human. You may say being homosexuall is a sin, well so is judgement ,hate, prejudice, discrimanation and asumming things about another human being.Do you agree that some people can be much more masculine as a female, and more afemanent as a male, and to assume they are gay is wrong in the heart or God.Even if they are gay we need to love others and not judge. How many agree with this,my husband is so homophobic and Im just trying to explain his thinking is not at all christlike,I would like to get your opinion on this. Thank you

A true Christian is a person of love, compassion, and forgiveness. Anything less than that is not Christian.

I'm an agnostic, however with regard to the issues you brought up, I try to live in a more "Christlike" manner (if you want to call it that) than many "Christians" as a matter of common decency.
I survived a Catholic education & have a good perspective on the subject,
Jesus was a courageous , thinking person who I suspect would not agree (be pissed is probably more accurate) with so many of the things done in his name.
Also, one of the most moral, decent, caring people I have ever met is a flat out athiest.
Very good to hear from a Christian not afraid to challenge behavior which goes against the grain.
I have a feeling Jesus would approve.
Best regards

Obviously your husband has 'issues' and possibly has some guilt with an experience or two of his own that he'll take to the grave with him.
A real man is comfortable in his own sexuality and doesn't go around bashing other people's sex lives...Christian or not. A real man isn't afraid of a gay man. It stems from fear. Guilt is a form of fear.
You have to remember that someone else's sex life is none of your business. If your husband makes it his business to degrade others based on their sexual preference, then there's a story there somewhere. Guilt does funny things to people - usually causing them to lash out. Kinda like the recovering alcoholic who becomes a hypocrite about other people's drinking habits; the ex-smoker who detests other smokers or the man who had sex with another man when he was 17 years old and now abhors gay people.
Your husband has every right to be homophobic, though.
It's his phobia....and he can have it all he wants. It's free and he can own it for as long as he chooses.

can you please read this and not judge this?
God doesn't hate homosexuals. He said He hates homosexuality. there's a difference. homosexuality is the lifestyle or associated lifestyles which practice, condone, believe in, and have pride in being homosexual. God doesn't really care what hormones a person has, just cares what they're doing. giving into sinful lusts is sinning.
I don't judge who's gay or not. there's no real way of knowing until you have 99% certainty from their acts and confessions. but God knows the heart. and of course, there are those who choose to be, and only God can tell, as He can see the heart.
yes we are called to exemplify agape love but we still can't tolerate sin. I won't hit a guy for being gay, nor will I deny him kindness, but I will not believe it's right, condone it, or practice it, as I am not a sinner.
don't really care if a guy's into fashion or whatever, just have a problem with Him disobeying God. don't really care if a chick is a tomboy, just as long as they don't disobey God.
I do not like to be judged as a homophobe because that is inaccurate. a homophobe is one who is irrationally and persistantly afraid or hateful towards homosexuals. I however don't hate them or fear them, just don't approve of their lifestyle. so I'd appreciate it if I'm not judged
thank you

well I will tell you right now that I will tell you on this earth that it is a sin and not have you accusing me from hell saying that I didn't warn you of the consequences of homosexuality.
God says it is wrong and he is the one that judged that it is wrong. I am only repeating what he has said..
I tell you here and now what he has said. I have no power to send anyone anywhere, but he does..
If you take this as a personal feud between you and me then you have made a mistake, as it is God who is the judge and he only sends his servants to warn you..

Im a Christian too and i wouldnt comsider being against homosexuals a sin. And me and my family dont discriminate against them or hate them, we just dont think its right. Got has made a male and a fremale to be togeter not a female and a female or the male with a male. You dont commit a sin when you dont agree with homosexuals. I think kids schoul be able to have someone to call mommy and daddy not daddy and daddy or mommy and mommy. So I dont discriminate but i strongly dissagree. I have gay griends myself and i dont hate them or discriminate them. But i still think its wrong.

Wow... thank you for asking that. I have no clue as to why christians discriminate against anything. I am an atheist after all, but I always know that there are people out their who do not discriminate against others it is just nice to see proof every once in a while.

I am not prejudice against homosexuals. Most of us know someone who is like that. No one that I know personally has ever caused harm in word or deed just because someone was homosexual.
With that said, I think the lifestyle is wrong and unnatural. Those words or way of thinking does not cause me to "hate" anyone. It is merely my opinion when asked.

God does tell us to love thy neighbor. Christians should not hate or be mean to gays, but at the same time we do not have accept their lifestyle. You might want to take a look at corinthians 6:9-10

I'm not Christian, but I appreciate you asking this question.
I personally think that people who judge homosexuals are only expressing personal phobias or feelings. Throwing God in the mix is just more fuel for them.
