give her baths, and after she gets out towel her off and slather on a lotion like St.Ives on her head to toe, LIBERALLY! do that after her baths but also give her midday slathers with lotion 4 times a day, plus the one after a bath.
Trust me, to treat it is to use alot of lotion, my son who is 12 ALWAYS gets dry skin so I have to cover that lotion on him daily!
Hope this helps.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

The food allergy road is a slippery slope that few benefit from, and young girls/women badly need their calcium and vitamin D to avoid osteoporosis in later life.
I have a few standard suggestions.
Here is a list of do's and don'ts that I hope you will find helpful.
Things not to do:-
Don't use biological powders
Don't use fabric softeners
Don't use soap or detergents to wash with
Don't use standard shower gels or bath additives
Things to do :-
Try Fairy Snow -the old fashioned powder
Use dryer balls
Use a soap free cleanser to wash hands etc.
Use a moisturising shower gel like Oilatum
Use a moisture bath additive like Aveeno
Use a good moisturiser like Aveeno
Use it very frequently, you can't over-moisturise!
Use antihistamines for itch, a non sedative one like loratidine in the morning and a sedative one such piriton at night.
You may need to use steroids creams/ointments for flare up areas. Use the mildest you can, and for the face never more than 1% hydrocortisone, for the shortest time possible.
Sorry if you knew all of that already :-(

If you have eczema, and you are bothered by it, I suggest you try using Zenmed Sensitive Skin Care System from Zenmed or Autopalm from Skinstore.com
Zenmed has no side effects and it's non-irritant to the
skin. It's proven to works fast and it povides Maximum
results! It's certainly a good lotion to prevent further
outbreaks.
Another product that I think is effective is Autopalm. This
dry skin mlm is one of the best seller at skinstore.com now.
(Skinstore.com holds more than 10,000 skin care products) It's pretty effective, and worth the dollar paid out.
Here's are some good references:

Keep the area well moisturised..Use E cream rather than steroid creams.Avoid scratching if it itches, easier said than done I know. I had it on my legs and ankles for years and then it just went.Nothing I did .that I know of.It is believed that a lot of it is stress related and nothing to do with diet.

cream called elcon is the best, you need to get it from your doctor, dab a load on and leave it to soak for about 5 mins the rub in properly, do this a few times a day and it should go, my mum uses it too, give it a go,
good luck

bathe with tepid water and mild soap, moisturize after bathing with eucerin, use laundry detergent with no added color or scent and no fabric softener, dress in cotton/cotton blends to avoid sweating and wick moisture away from skin, ask doc for either tacrolimus (protopic), or ellidel to use during major flare ups.
This is what I do for my daughter who has eczema and it keeps it under control.
Good luck :)
