If your an Earnhardt fan, you make fun of Gordon, and if your a Gordon fan, you knock on Jr. Why??

This is one of the better NasCar questions I have seen Posted.I don't know why people do this either,I say to each there own.I am a Tony Stewart fan why hold what race car driver I like against me.They all have something good about them on and off the track.The driver we like is no going to win every race face it.

The same reason why Red Sox fans talk crap about the Yankees. Essentially, you rout for a team, or in this case, a driver. I am a Gordon fan and certainly no part of junior nation, I just get sick and tired of Earnhardt Jr fans with the gay stuff. If he came out yesterday or tomorrow, I be fine with that and still be a fan.

I'm a Jr fan I don't knock on Gordon, it's not like when I'm slagging the Red Sox, Rangers, Flyers, or Eagles, I save that for Jimmy Johnson. I actually have a picture of the 48 car on a dartboard and even my stepson who's a Gordon fan throws darts at it.

Can't help you, I'm a Jr fan and a Gordon fan!!
For the most part it's good humored harassment, I can take a good Jr slam IF it makes sense.
For example if he does something stupid in public or causes a sensless wreck at a race then razz away, but when someone lacks the intelligence to come up with anything better than "your drivers gay" they're just showing their stupidity.

I am a diehard Jeff Gordon Fan and I like Dale Jr. It wouldn't be any fun if everyone pulled for the same driver.

It is part of the fan experience. Most of the time, it is meant as good fun. Some people take it too far, but there is nothing better than watching the #24 and the #8 duke it out at Talladega with a friend pulling for the opposite person.

Same reason that college football fans knock teams that are rivals of their favorite team.
So this kind of "knocking other drivers" is just a friendly way ofpoking fun at other drivers.

If you are a Red Sox fan why do you knock on Yankees fan, if you are a fan of any racer, team, or whatnot, that immediately makes everyone else the bad guy because they are trying to stop you from being the champion, even if they are the nice guy or whatnot, you wanna find ways to psych your team up... or more likely, psych yourself up so when they win you can brag more:p

they are rivals. personality conflict. gordon is a pretty boy and Jr came from a family of nascar.

There are boundaries and limits, but that is part of the fun side of the sport. Trash talking and bragging rights can be good times.
