Jesus welcomes you with these words:
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
But beware!
Just believing in God intellectually or superficially cannot save you:
You must trust in Him with all your heart.

To those who really believe in Him the Bible says,
"These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

God's eternal life is a gift to possess now as well as a timeless reality.

During our present days, Jesus still says to all of us as He did to the church at Laodicea, : " Here I am! I stand in at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. " ( Rev 3:20 ). In the culture of John's day, to share a meal meant to have a fellowship, so Jesus is inviting us to open our hearts to Him that we may have fellowship with Him. He desires that we come to know Him better; therefore, the desire and yearning God is something that He plants within our hearts.

This desire for God also produces a desire to glorify God and please Him. I do not feel burdened about my sins. He has washed them away. That is a good feeling.

When I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I ask forgiveness, I repent and I believe that He saves me...I have done my part. I trust that He is going to do His part. And that is why I do not feel the burden because He is bigger than any of my sins. : )

No. See, sins are disobedience to a god, and no gods exist.

Yeah, that's a problem, I guess. If God wants me to trust Him, He shouldn't have told such an ugly lie in Genesis. Evolution proves that mankind wasn't created with Adam and Eve. So, God lied to me.

How should I trust him?

I'm not when I am reminded of God's love in Christ, and the fact that in His eyes, I am His in a completely forgiven status. "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
