unexplainable divine trinity (or whatever) so what is the use of it?
Why dont christians just say they have a god, his son jesus and their pet, the dove??? almost a typical family no need to make things more complicated by adding the trinity, three in one and all that stuff.

The trinity was not invented by Christians. It began in Egypt. Babylonians and other multitheistic groups had trinities as well. The word trinity does not even appear in the Bible. There is as you said only one God, The Father. His Son, Jesus. Gods force he uses to accomplish his will, the Holy Spirit, is not a person at all. So you are on the right track
Look up these text in the Bible for more information.
John 14:28
John 20:17
Deut 6:4
Rev 1:6

C'mon, man, you KNOW your alleged alternative is mere mockery; why include it? But to answer the question as tho it was sincere:
If you're a Trinity-believing Christian, the answer is that we didn't invent it, we were led to it by . . . wait for it . . . the Holy Spirit. He (or if you're really avant garde, She) didn't worry about it being a mystery--meaning, in Church jargon, a belief humans *cannot* fully understand. Its being true, and somehow helpful for us to believe, was all that mattered.
There are quite a lot of VERY early Xn beliefs that are similar in being developed after the New Testament had been written; the Trinity is just the oddest to the non-believer.
But since you're obviously NOT a Trinity-believing Xn, why ask in such a disrespectful way? Either you don't care what the answer is, you just want to annoy us, which makes you a troll. Or just conceivably you really do want to know but can't help being insulting, in which case you either need self-discipline or a psychiatrist, or both.
P.S. Wherever you're coming from, you might like to check out the Mormon take on the Trinity. As I once said to a panel of BYU professors at a Science Fiction symposium (and still believe), for either faith, the other faith's concept of the Trinity is absolutely bizarre!

You are like a person thinking Fourier Transforms (important for understanding waves mathematically) can't be real as you can't understand.

First one would need to understand mathematics up to quite a level, and some physics.

The nonbeliever asking about the Trinity is a bit like that. Instead they should be doing their basic arithmetic - i.e. is Jesus our Saviour, and did He die for our and your sins?

The issue here is complicated by the fact that mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses who actually are pretty heretical in their understanding of the gospels make out that they are christians. All mainstream christian denominations believe in the Trinity (Orthodox, catholic, protestant, pentecostal, baptist, C of E,..). God is made known to us through the person of the Holy Spirit. HE is wonderful, and although the most unassuming member of the Trinity does not like being regarded as some kind of celestial electricity.

I agree it doesn't make any sense but neither does the Easter bunny and colored eggs with the resurrection of Christ.
It makes the bible not make any sense at all.

Jesus was created the almighty has always been here, these are the scriptures to prove it.
He was in heaven with his father for trillions of years before coming to this earth. This earth was a group project.
Really read these scriptures don't you see two people?

(Colossians 1:15-17) . . .5 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,

(Revelation 3:14) 14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,

(Acts 7:55) 55 But he, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand,

(Revelation 1:1) 1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,

(Revelation 7:10) 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Christians did not invent the trinity and the dove isnt the holy spirit. I assume you know something of the bible since you knew enuf about the dove. The scripture reads that the holy spirit ascended AS a dove.

The Trinity is not made up. it is thru out the whole bible. God is one and His name is Jesus Christ.

Holy Trinity reveals one God
The three persons of the Holy Trinity are distinct and separate: yet, they are one (Eph. 4:4–6). This gives us the mystery of the Godhead—we wonder how this can be? The Christian Church holds the doctrine of the Holy Trinity as one of their oldest beliefs (1 Pet. 1:2). As we look at the traditional teachings of the Christian Church and study the Bible, we should grow in our understanding and accept the Holy Trinity by faith (Luke 3:21, 22).

Holy Trinity—One God
The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit,
three separate Persons, and yet One.
Divine mystery beyond perception.
We look at One—We look at All.
We pray to One—We pray to All.
We love One—We love All.
One love’s us—All love us.
Father–Son–Holy Spirit—One God.

It depends upon which bible you read, but in the garden of Eden they had 3 gods. There was the lord, god and the lord god. They had to do something with those 3 guys. So they made up the trinity

i think you are retarded....Funny...but retarded.

Muslims and Jews and Mormons (and whoever else) who don't understand the trinity choose to not understand because it benefits their cause. I am an atheist and i have no qualms about how the trinity works (or would work if it were real).

Certainly, Christianity is a pan-theistic tradition (like Hinduism) and not a monotheistic one (like Judisim).

And the Holy Ghost is would not be the pet. It would be more like the Grandpa...the Holy Ghost is God's true form...it is the part of God that is supposed to most resemble the unspeakable God of the Jews.
