coz I feel it.....okay there's this guy that i met right here at YA...and we've gotten pretty close by talking at YIM like 2-3 everyday and i know stuff about him that he could have easily lied about...and so it's like all the cards are out in the open...i have no reason to suspect he's lying...and i know he's not.

It takes a compilation of efforts, dear. Phone conversations, webcam and reading some of what the person has written in the past will reveal a lot of things (plagerism, false or old pictures, etc)

From there, if you can see that they have a public persona, via their webpages for business or hobby, you can "cross-check" what they have told you.

you dont know who it is....... it could be someone to hurt you!! my daughter thought the guy was safe cuz he was a cop and the talked for over a month............he got her trust and said he would help her be with me (we had a custody battle) and got her to a hotel conference room with extra and gave her some soda and raped her...........DONT EVER MET SOME ALONE!!!!! met far away from your house very public place and dont go alone ask there name and ask him they mind u asking police about them. tell them your uncle is a cop and can check if they are ok with having checked out through the computer still take caution

you really can't trust anyone on those kinds of programs. A person could say her or she is 13 years old, but turn out to be a 30 years old!

Take the "advice" you get here with a grain of salt. Expert advice, that you pay for, in person or book form, is generally preferred.
