Can you make it in a new city that you dont know anyone as a real estate agent?

I am thinking of moving to Orlando to pursue a career in Real Estate. I know no one. I would probably work 2-3 nights a week as a bartender but I was wondering if people thought that a NEW real estate agent in a completly NEW city could make it. I know sales is a lot about who you know. Any other fields that I might should consider? THANKS!

if you are new to an area, and except to sell homes, you need to know something about the neighborhoods.
1. school in each section of the city and suburbs
2. location to shopping areas
3. crime and police in each area
4. taxes what areas are high and what each area charges taxes.

as they say selling is about Location, Location, Location. the more you know about the area you will be selling, the better chance you have of making sales.
