A normal heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute so yours is just a little higher than normal. It also depends on when you take it. That normal range is based on a resting heart rate when you're not doing anything, so if you had been active at all right before it would be a little higher. Other things can also affect heart rate such as caffeine intake or certain medications. Regular exercise can lower your resting heart rate because it makes your heart beat more effectively and so gets more blood pumped per beat.

Just turned 40 and am feeling my mortality ,so the first thought that came into my head when I saw your question was ,if I ever make it to 83 (doubtful bad genetics) , would be ANY heartbeat at all as long as its still going.
