I believe in me because I can touch myself(not meant as a suggestive comment), I can hear myself, I can see myself, I can smell myself, and I know myself.I don't just believe in me I know that I am me.I can't say the same about a God.

That's a rather dualistic approach. Non-belief in the concept of an omnipotent creator being is NOT, by default, an automatic belief in "self". Evidence to the contrary is the Buddhist philosophy which trashes the idea of an inherently existent "self" and is atheist.

Tell me if you created yourself or if you can create anything living or with life? Can you create the universe? Can you bring rain dowm from the sky, can you make the trees grow? look around there are many more trees in the world than in our backyards .... who makes them grow? and the ones in your yard as well :-).

Can you make the sun or the moon or any planets or the Galaxies or the blackholes or can you make the earth turn the other way and make the sun come up from the west?

If you can't do any of the above than accept that the belief in the One who can, is a bigger deal than belief in yoruself :-))

A belief in one's self shows it's results instantly. A belief in an invisible, unknowable, all-powerful deity doesn't have any tangible results until (and unless) there is an afterlife. So in THIS life, I would go with self all the way.

The belief in God because he is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow, he will never change. Us humans are constantly evolving, changing our minds, what we think is acceptable, right and wrong, I believed in myself for too long, all it got me into was alot of pain and emptiness. God is Good...

Belief in God. Belief in God comes first, because God knows you through and through and by knowing god he enables you to know who you truly are - who he created. Many people have come to church not knowing who they are or what their purpose in life is, then they became christians and found out through God. So, in conclusion, belief in one's self can only be achieved through God, so belief in God comes first.

The biblical objective isn't to believe, but rather to "know".
Devils "believe": James 2:19; So believe not: Mt 24:23,26.
Knowing the truth makes you free of believing the lies(laws).
The God devils believe is Law. The only true God is Grace.
His Grace neither tempts(laws) nor can be tempted(lawed).
His Grace cannot lie(law) nor die(law). Law Law does both.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ wity you all. Amen.

If basic intuition were given primacy, the self is more apparent. If treated it with rigorous skepticism (in the way of David Hume) we might do away with both.

if you dont believe in something more then yourself you might begin justifying yourself to do crazy things.
Its healthy to have a belief in more then ones self, even if only in others and animals too, also that type of self glorification and self centeredness is stupid and insane.

It is certainly possible to believe in both. However, though I believe in myself I do not have the false arrogance to consider myself greater than God, though many do.
