too hard to remember--or spell? I didn't realize there were names for believing that God created the evolutionary process.

Steve C that's EXACTLY what I think, too.

jonjon I can't not believe in God. God doesn't exclude reason, unlike some things you've seen here.

That's what I am too. Evolution is Gods method of creation and to denigh this is to try to limit God and put him in your own little box. Most Christians believe in intelligent design while only the creationist believe the 6000 year B.S.

Good for you. You're halfway there! No, sorry, that was rude.

I have a serious problem with people who believe the earth is 6,000 years old and Adam & Eve really happened. People like you (I'm assuming, based solely on this question) are at least willing to be reasonable about things.

My only objection is that "God did it" still doesn't explain anything, whether it's the conclusion of a "Bible literalist" or a "Christian evolutionist." You've just decided to write "God" for "X."

Christian evolutionist is fine. That's what I call myself. I've never heard of the other term.

I vote 'for' your name calling.

Although claiming to be a Christian doesn't mean you exclude evolution from the possible approach God has taken in creation.

you could use the term "Theistic evolutionist" that's another term for people that believe in a god and in evolution.

I thought the name was "50% delusional". But whatever you want to call yourself, go ahead.

It is called "theistic evolution", so I suppose that you are a theistic evolutionist.

Call yourself anything that you want.

You can call yourself whatever you want. You'll find most people don't care!
