i heard something like 2/3 of the world does not believe in a higher power.

Not quite true, Here is a world religion chart. Non religious is about 16% Christianity is about 33%. We might be able to add 6% Buddhist to the non religious as technically they don't believe in a "higher being".

I can't believe that 2/3 of the world is that intelligent. I would estimate that at least 80% of people are ignorant, fearful and superstitious enough to believe in god.

I'm an atheist...
I don't think it's that large, but it's probably closer to 50%.
Most surveys do not include people in China or other communist countries. Buddhism does not believe in a supreme being and several other groups do not either.

They probably DO believe in a higher power (or several) they just aren't Chrisitians therefore labeled as non-believers. You would be surprised how outnumbered the Christians are.

It isn't a contest xtraudinair.

Many of those people just believe in a different brand of god. That's all. I'm guessing 2/3rds believes in some sort of hocus pocus.
