Hello there! This is a more common problem than you think! Most people who have had braces with some elastic/rubber bands have probably swallowed a little over the years! This is too small to hurt you in any way - you should be fine!

Believe me people have swallowed much bigger things like crowns or fillings and were fine. Look at each bracket to see if any bands are missing. They hold the wire onto the tooth to keep the tention that is needed to move the teeth. If the wire comes loose you'll need to get it put back on so you'll get the movement that the Orthodontist wanted.

The rubber bands on braces are so tiny that it should flush right through your system. Don't worry about it!
