shheees, kind of a tough guy act thing you have going on here, what's the deal dude?
I don't agree with how Mary is viewed in the Catholic Church. She has died, and is likely in paradise - but why does anyone pray to her? I don't find any reason biblically to view her as an intermediary.

There is no Catholic doctrine that states that Mary is co-redemptrix and co-mediatrix.
This has been suggested and discussed by a few people but it is not doctrine.
jesus-is-lord.com is not a formal documented Catholic course.
You will not find this "doctrine" in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: http://www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/
You, me, our family and friends, and the saints (including the Bessed Virgin Mary) can pray as intercessors but not mediators.
With love in Christ.

Mary is not a co-redemptrix, only God can forgive sins, she is not on the same playing field, however, she is the holiest of all human beings (other than Jesus, however, he was also divine) and she is the perfect example of submission to God's will. By praying THROUGH (not to) her, we hope to emulate her example.
Pope John Paul II, did not make the proclamation, because all infallible decisions are guided by the Holy Spirit, and apparently the Holy Spirit agrees with you, and with all sects of Christianity for that matter.
Also would you consider that site impartial?

You need to learn about what you hate so much.
Perhaps you should actually READ what the Catholic Church has to say about Mary and not listen to yet another Catholic hating protestant preacher who heard from someone else.
It shouldn't be that hard to find the actual teaching of the Catholic Church.
You may also want to learn the difference between Dogma and Doctrine. That would be a HUGE help to you.

Mary is in a sticky spot because technically she should be respected as all of the other Saints should be. Saints act as embassadors between us and God. (they are not minor gods like some would suggest) In my opinoin, the reason Mary is different is because Jesus cannot go against the commandments (Thou shalt honor thy father and mother). We are supposed to respect the belief that Mary was a good person who would never take advantage of that position.

Yes, Mary is Co-redemptrix and Mediatrix of all graces. These are the powers given to Her by God, but it does not in any way make Her equal to God. These are not yet dogmas of the Catholic faith but they have been traditionally believed by all Popes and saints. Mary as co-redemptrix and Mediatrix of grace may be declared as dogmas in the future.
+ Mankind fell through disobedience to God.
+ Only God-made-man could pay the price of the redemption of humanity.
+ Only a woman, by Divine Decree in accordance to the Universal Laws of Nature, could generate God-made-man. A man could not.
+ The woman had to give her consent ["Be it done to me according to thy word."] as an act of her free will.
Thus, without a female of the human species willful assent to mother the Incarnate Word of God, there would not have been Redemption of mankind nor the outpouring of Graces at the time of Pentecost.
Her active Collaboration in our Redemption and unlimited Mediating power before the Throne of God is a reality and not an exercise in piety.
+ By the Will of God, She was invited to be His Own Mother thus Her role as CoRedemptrix and Mediatrix was ordained from all eternity.
+ Exercising Her freedom of choice we have Her willful acceptance to cooperate in the Divine Plan of Redemption.
+ At the instant of Hypostatic Union, Mary became the Mother of God-made-man, Jesus Christ, thus, CoRedemptrix.
+ On the cross, Jesus Christ, in His last instruction before His death, gave Mary to us as our own Mother through John the Evangelist. Thus Her role as Mediatrix, at that instant, became manifest through its confirmation by God Himself.
We must then acknowledge that Mary is indeed the co-Redemptrix of mankind and the Mediatrix of all Graces.

Have you read the apologies?
They do not worship Mary nor consider her equal with Jesus but she is revered and prayed to for intercession only.
Mary is considered to be Queen of the Angels.
I don't have a problem with any of this. I am sure Mary is the Queen of the Angels and is in high standing with God having always done God's will. I pray to God in Jesus' name but don't have a problem with anyone asking Mary or other Saints for intercession, if a person feels that unworthy and wants to ask someone who they know is better than them to intercede for them what's the big deal?
I do have a problem with holding up the Pope as infallible as I believe no man is infallible I also have problems with some of the other doctrines in Catholicism but know that it is not my place to judge them, God will do so in due time.
I do have a problem with your Important Notice, this forum is for everyone to ask questions and give answers, you are trying to dictate who answers and telling others that if they do answer they will be deleted, this is very biased and very unchristian of you. You could just ignore them if you don't like their answers or their answering but to be so blatantly bigoted is uncalled for.
I will pray for you.
Peace

I am sorry I honestly don't understand some of what you said.. but it seems like you are asking if Catholics worship Mary as a God, equal to Christ.
I have never talked to Catholics about this, but it has always seemed to me that they revere Mary on the same level as Jesus because of her virgin birth of Jesus..
I decided long ago to not let what another religion did in their worship bother me (unless they think I deserve to die as an infidel for believing in my way), it's their faith and if our goal is the same who am I to bother them unless they ask.
JMHO.

Oh Lordy... any argument that leans heavily on the teachings of Pius XII is just BEGGING to be mocked. Are you willing to go and read the source texts themselves, or let someone else think for you?
Here's the bottom line in Catholic teaching - Jesus is God. Mary is not.

Mary was a human, she's dead now, she is in no way different then other humans who got exalted in the bible. Noone worships her, we just acknowledge her blessings.
King David is also revered, yet you cannot say he gets worshipped.
There is a Mary worshipping false cult among catholic influenced regions, but there many believers simply chose the saints to replace their previous heathen gods. So when such Saint/Mary worshipping cults arise it is a failed attempt at conversion basically.
