any old moisturizing lotion will do the trick.
when my legs are really dry i put bagbalm (you can get it at your local drug store) on them straight out of the shower and it is awesome, very skin renewing. i bet this would work great on healed tattoos.
it is kinda sticky though, fyi.

I wouldn't use that myself... I've used a wide variety of ointments and they pretty much work the same, but I would recommend you use something that is fragrance free, dye free, and as natural as possible. Using something medicated usually isn't the best idea. I like cocoa butter ointment, a&d ointment, and even tattoo goo. I used a&d for all of my tattoos at least the first couple of days, and every one of mine are fine. Of course, everyone is different and everyone's skin will do different things, but I wouldn't worry about it. Some artists recommend rewrapping your tattoo every day, some don't. Some recommend washing the tattoo every day, some don't. Everyone is different, so everyone has different advice. Just make sure you don't fiddle with it too much, don't pick at it, and don't let it dry out too much. You'll figure out what's best for you sooner or later.

I moisturize my skin daily after showering, including the tattoo area, after with regular body lotion. I have had my tattoo for 10 years and no problems with doing this.

Triple Strength antibiotic ointment like bacitracin now but whenever you get a tattoo so it heals well. I used to date a guy who had tattoo sleeves..also, make sure you use lots of sunblock and cover it when you're in the sun to keep it from fading.

I use Curel or Nivea on my tattoos. Keeps them looking vibrant even the ones that are several years old. Dont forget sunscreen if your outside. The sun can fade tattoos.

since your tattoo is fully healed it's just regular skin and you should treat it as such. moisturize it often to keep it soft and looking nice. all of your skin needs regular moisturization, any hydrating lotion will do the job.

A&D Ointment - just a light touch to it....or something like a heavy ointment (gel type) that you have there...lightly coat it not too thick..
