ANZAC was the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps and has nothing to do with money. The use of the name ANZAC is strictly controlled. If Australia and New Zealand decided to have a combined currency, the word ANZAC would not be used to describe it.

This issue crops up every few years and is talked about for a few days and forgotten.
One time it might be the Aussies in favour of it and the Kiwis against it and at another time it is the other way around.
I would welcome it to be called the ANZAC dollar as it would be a fitting way to honour all of our troops who have fought alongside one another so often.
But such a decision would not be taken with the input from the RSA/RSL.
