There was an article(well actually a video) in Yahoo about maybe 2 weeks ago about what the dog's wagging tail mean. Supposedly that they mean different things? Anybody know?

a wagging tail, despite what most people think, does not always mean a happy doggie! Sometimes wagging is a sign of curiosity, and sometimes even aggression. It is really just an overall indicator of the animal being stimulated in some way, whether negative or positive. The height that the dog is holding its tail at and the amount of movement in the tail are two variables in figuring out what the dog is thinking or feeling at that moment.

I have a weird dog--she does wag her tail when my husband comes home, but she usually only wags it for me when she wants something. She'll lay on the floor next to the couch, spreadeagled, growl softly and wag her tail. If I pet her, she stops, but starts up again as soon as I stop!

It can mean they are happy, and if you are petting your dog, it means they love you. If they have their tail between their legs and wagging slowly they are scared. Dogs have alot of body language! Glad to help!
