The lowdown:
I am friends with this guy and were not super close, but semi-good friends.
This guy asks me to prom (as friends) and i say yes.
We go to prom and have a nice time.
Now the boy hardly says 2 words to me.

He got to know you a bit better and got scared off.
You're just not quite what he thought you were.
It happens. You like a girl in all these other settings and then you get her in a different setting and something about the way she acts just doesn't work well with your feelings and that's that.
If it was major, then get over it, it's not necessarily something you did 'wrong' it's just a mismatch of personalities.
If it's something minor, relax, he'll see you in all the usual settings and become friends again for all the reasons he originally became friends.

You were not close before, and you are not close now. What is there to figure out? Sounds like things just went back to normal after the prom.

He couldn't find anyone else to go with him, and you were the last resort. Now he doesn't need anything from you. He's a loser....kick him to the curb fast enough to make his head spin.

What are the chances that you acted like you wanted to become his g/f? Did he feel like you might be starting to like him too much? Did you scare him away?

Maybe he wanted to go out with you, but if you sent him signals saying you weren't interested then he could have lost interest.

Maybe he found out that you're a carnation, or a spectrum, or even the fact that you're a PCB... No one will ever know.

i think you make him nervous, not only that he also seems to feel that maybe you wouldnt be interested in him, go 4 it talk 2 him & let us know how it all turns out..good luck

Maybe he feels uncomfortable around you now and doesn't know how to act around you. Maybe ask him?
