Personal world views are a set of individual claims that formulate reality (more than one truth).

God , in my opinion, is Truth. Only His views are objective, defining reality and truth. All other views are based subjectively to a person's view which can create many truths.

Pixie Pagan,

"Where we disagree is when you tell me only YOU have access to what God's views are on everything and everyone through some book that men wrote 2000 years ago."

Why did you give that answer? It has nothing to do with the question. I did not quote the Bible nor did I say I only have access to God's truth. I believe everybody has access to Truth.

Jesus said "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life. No man comes to the Father but by me>"

I know it's not pc, but yes, there is only one way of salvation. That is to trust completely in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. He paid for all our sins, and now He invites us to believe in Him and follow Him.

Rom.10:9,10
Believe, and confess and you will be saved!

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man can come to the Father except through Me."

Truth is absolute and not subjective as some would teach. Certain facts and circumstances may differ for individuals, but truth is always aboslute. It is true that we all are born, live out our days and then die. But, some live as average, some millionaires and others as celebreties. But, this is not going to adjust the truth that we are born, live and die.

That which is truth will line up with scripture and all that God has designed in and for this world. Look up the word 'truth' in Webster's. See if you can find it in a Greek/Hebrew dictionary. For a long time, the idea of truth has always been that truth is absolute.

People say, "That is not how I believe, so it is not truth for me." Well, some see that when it comes to sickness and injury, saying that it is not truth. But, when you get hit by a cement truck, the truth is, you be hurtin'. You can't change the truth or deny it - it is what it is.

Just because someone refuses to hear or believe the thruth does not negate it as truth, either. Let's say someone gives you advice concerning selling a house - they tell you to wait because the market is real slow - but, you don't accept that as truth. So, you try to sell your house and it takes a long time and you make no money on it. The truth was told and was absolute. Whether you believed it or not did not change it from being the truth.

I hope my analogies make clear what I am trying to say.

If you hit yourself in the head with a hard object, and it didn't hurt, would you deny it happened? Did the wind not blow and knock all my trees down at the school because I wasn't there to see it actually happening?
Truth is an "IS". Truth is what it is. I will tell you the truth - the wind did blow my trees down at my school even though I didn't watch it happen because I just was there this morning and I picked them all up and put the pots back where they were. I will tell you the truth - My dogs did their morning fecal elimination (even though I didn't watch them do it) and I know this because it was still fresh and steaming when I stepped in it.
God is not the only source of Truth. The evidence of truth is everywhere. An automobile crash is an evidence of truth. The flowers in my yard are evidence of a truth. It is not my personal view that fecal matter stinks - the gases emitted by fecal material exist whether I like them or not. That is the truth.
So if only God is the truth - does that make YOU the lie?

Truth is relative.
Take for instance a crime occurs. You have three eye witnesses. Their stories will not match perfectly? Why? Because they see different things in different ways.
Christianity has many sects. Why? People interpret the Bible different ways. And they are completely and totally convinced they are all right, and every other sect is completely wrong for example Mormons, Catholics, etc.
In the end, it doesn't matter what name you call God. All Gods are one God and One God is all Gods. Vengeance, jealously, demanding blind faith...those are HUMAN emotions. If a woman can find a way to truly forgive a man who killed her child (which has happened) do you really think a DIVINE being can't do the same? To err is human to forgive is divine. All the things we fight over, deman from other people, spill blood over...its just not important. Being a good person, making the world a better place...that is what faith is about. At least mine is.

Something like God's existance has only one truth. He either exists or he doesn't. He can't exist and not exist at the same time.
Anything besides the existance of something is an opinion. So when we talk about the "true religion" we cannot say that there is only one true religion. This is called an opinion, and in my opinion, almost all opinions are right.

To answer your question, both are correct...

There are many truths... They take on many forms. If I were to get thirsty and drink the glass of water that is on the table in front of me, then would it not be truth that the water would no longer be in the glass? Would it not also be truth to say that the glass had water in it before I drank it? Both of these statements would then be truths.

But, if you are talking religiously, I believe that truth comes from God alone. To that effect, I believe that there is only one path to the truth, and that is the teachings of Yeshua di Nazarat, otherwise known as Jesus, of Nazareth... The interpretations can vary as they were delivered two thousand years ago, but the teachings are the only way to God.

Hope this helps...

The only things in this world that are objective are death and math.

Your opinion is not any more valid than anyone else's. Just because you can only see one truth, do not assume that everyone else is limited to that truth.

There are many truths since God's views are written by man.
