Who said it wasn't "okay" for christians to ask questions?

I will answer christian questions honestly & respectfully if the questions are WORDED respectfully. If the question is rude and/or derogatory in any way then they will stir things up & get insulted in the process.

Ddking is a good example of a respectful christian... also socmum16... I'm sure there are others, but i can't think of them off the top of my head. (I'm too anxious to get out of work in 20 minutes & go home! Lol)

Because they can't help it...they're curious. Sure, the don't believe in God. That's not how I choose to live my life, but I respect their opinions. But the word of God rings out so true and so loudly...even if you're not trying to hear it. I believe that everyone has to have some sort of philosophy to follow to get through life successfully. We all need to use our own logic, but still accept the guidance of some higher power. That's basic human need. And since (at least, from what I can tell) the motto of most atheists is something along the lines of 'Don't believe. Don't follow any religion. Rely on only yourself,' they can't help but at least be a little curious. Oh, and don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings with this question. People are usually such hypocrites. Anyone (like many atheists on the site) who dish out angry, belittling comments against religion should be able to take a little bit of constructive criticism. I hope I helped answer your question a bit. God bless!

I would say that it is okay. Most Atheists are very vocal about their beliefs or non-beliefs. I would like to think that in the Answers site that most people are open minded and ready for discussion. I was an atheists for a long time due to complicated family drama. But I learned a lesson the hard way. There is an old Army saying that you will never find an atheist in a fox hole. Sometimes it takes a belief in something greater than yourself to get through the day. This is an open forum so if an atheists is scared than probably he is unsure of his conviction.

Christians just don't like the answers they get. Sorry, but athiests and Christians think differently. You can ask all the questions you like, but when you already have an answer, don't expect everyone to agree with you.

It is okay... atheists are not afraid of Christians. Religion is a lie, and those of us who know that are just trying to help you break free from the delusion.

You will find that many Atheists are very familiar with your Bible - more so than most Christians, so ask away.

I've never seen an Atheist get upset about being asked a question. Most of the time christians don't like the answers they get from an Atheist.

Questions from Christians are not a problem expect their questions are in a form of bashing and false accusations. They really try to make us like people with 0 morals you try seeing that every 5 minutes or so..

Christians openly question the atheists here everyday, has it suddenly become against the Yahoo! guidelines?

Seriously, if the atheists are getting irritated, it's because the Christians ask the same questions several times a day. One question has been asked over 6000 times but I don't remember offhand which one that was.

Time for some new material.

It is OK but a lot of your questions would be better answered in the biology section. We don't believe in god. that's it. Not all of us are evolutionists (thanks church lady) or know Darwin's work by heart, but that is usually what you go after to prove that the bible is true.

Oh I'm generalizing a lot here btw. There are some people that come on here and do not know what an atheist is because they are living very sheltered lives.

I don't remember anyone saying Christians cannot ask questions of atheists. The main complaint I see is that Christians regularly wonder why (some) atheists like to discuss religion.
