I have read bible several times! Doesn't mean I have to believe in it, I don't see many people sacrificing lambs etc... on alters!

To help diagnose me - I do believe Jesus walked the earth and died for our sins and I do pray and feel close to God but I don't see why you have to go to church to be close to God and I don't believe all that is written in the bible, I feel maybe it hasn't been translated properly!

All I know is that you shouldnt pick and choose what to believe in order to be "happy". Its wrong to make it all about you, and not about the GOD/Jesus that you say you believe in. If you believe in the Lord, then understand that it is him you should follow. Dont go on what you think is right, but lean on what he says. It really saddens me because so many people are in your position. There are so many Christians who go to church, pray, and even read the bible each day that are missing so much about God. You need to have a relationship with him. THAT IS THE KEY< THE MOST IMPORTANT thing, who cares what religion you are, or what details you want to believe or disbelieve in. Just try to get close to the Lord, talk to him , trust in him and really mean it. Or just start off by asking him to help you and your faith. Because no matter how much of a good "believer" you are, in life you should always long for a closer relationship with him.

The way i think of it is why worry we'll all find out in the end!lead your life with humanity and if there's a gate to heaven then surely you'll get the key if not then what you going to no about it, at least you can go to your grave knowing you were a good person who didn't force their beliefs on anyone many atrocities happen through others forcing their beliefs upon others you can have a clearer conscience than those true believers or non-believers, keep an open mind for anyone to say they are 100% sure of anything surely in it's self means they in-fact have closed minds, so who's to say who's wrong!

I think you're just confused. I totally disagree with those people who tell you to just go ahead and believe and do whatever you want. It's so easy for us to create our own God and make him fit into our own personal lifestyles when the truth is that it is us who should obey God and live according to his teachings.

There's so many wrong religions out there because of people who chose to just grab a part of the Bible and make up the rest with their own interpretations and ideas and that's just wrong. Just the fact that we don't sacrifice lambs anymore doesn't mean that the Old Testament's wrong. Most of the things that happenned in the O.T. were a symbol of what Jesus Christ would do.

Many people think of Christians as ignorant people with a blind faith. That's just the perception of many, but in reality our Faith is not blind. The Bible is not just a myth, it's a historical book. The new testament was written by first-hand witnesses of Jesus life, miracles, death and resurrection. There's actually historians from around that time that had nothing to do with the bible or anything like that who wrote about a man whom was called Christ who did many miracles.

If everything the apostles wrote about Jesus was a lie, and they knew they were lying, would they be willing to die for it as they did? Why would I give my life for a lie? There's a book called "Evidence that demands a verdict" by Josh McDowell that could really answer many of your questions.

You are at least a theist, you believe in God. You also believe in Jesus, that would classify you as a christian. With the information you listed it is easier to eliminate what your not from christian denominations. You don't go for the entire Bible so, you're not Catholic, or Evangelical (Christian denominations that believe in all the Bible). It's tough to classify you without more specific information, but if you are looking for a church, remember that many denominations change drastically from church to church, others don't, find someplace that is comfortable.

Christian Theist!

You are Christian if you believe in Jesus as the Son of God
You are theist, because you believe in a God
An Atheist doesn't believe in one at all
An Agnostic is open-minded, they believe that a God could exist but are not convinced by the 'religious proof' provided by the Bible or other religious books.

Your a Christian with out complete understanding of the bible. You can clear up any uncertainties you have by reading it. Jesus said that the Bible is true. If he lied he wasnt a perfect sacrafice. He didnt die for your sins, and you are still guilty without grace from god. You have to make up your mind, its either all or none.

I cant tell! but me, I do believe the Bible as the word of God.
2 Thessalonians 1:8,9"He bring vengeance upon those who(by choice) do not know God(Jehovah) and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.."

Matthew 7:21-23"Not every one saying to me(Jesus) lord, lord will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father will. Many will say to me(Jesus) in that day Lord, lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expels demons in your name, and perform powerful works in your name? And yet then I will confess to them:I never knew You!Get away from me You workers of lawlessness."
Being a Christian is Not a Guarantee , that we are serving the true God and be save in the day of the judgement.Zephanieh 2:2,3.

I know it didnt answer your question but I want you to know I believe and true from the Bible.
