how do you update directx to directx8.1 i have tried everything i can tink of HELP ME!!!?

Try this

Go to the official Windows Update Web site

From IE, click Tools->Windows Update
Select "Custom"
Then go to the lists (Software, etc.) and if you need an update Directx should be listed. Follow the steps to download it.
