I know that noone can tell for sure why someone might act the way they do, but I was curious to know from your own experience what might make a woman really be so stuck on themselves while others are not.
If you are, in fact, one of those women, please respond, too, from personal experience.

I personally think that some girls are just downright spolied, and they've learned that they can get anything they want, whenever they want, without having to work for it.
Therefore, they are much more stuck up and if you don't have what they have, you're looked down upon. And that holier-than-Thou attitude doesn't go away very easily,and it's sad that that's a major part of our society today.

I think that people with low self esteem try to put up a front of false confidence in order to hide behind, and it doesn't work because they over do it.
Maybe some people have been hurt, so they act angry at the world to prevent getting too close to someone and getting hurt again.
Other people probably do this as a way of playing hard to get (she wants to see how much you will put up with), or she is testing you to see if you will stand up for yourself.
Some women, I suppose, get tired of being approached all of the time, so acting rude is the only way to get some privacy.
Otherwise, I really don't know!

Okay I have input from both sides...
For 'women' that are alwayss conceited, honestly they probably think they're sexy. Either because a bunch of guys put that idea into their heads, or because of the people they hang out with, etc.
But then of course every girl has a day when she thinks she looks good (for ONCEE hahah) and if she does she might act more outgoing and flirty. They're not conceited, but when a girl looks good, she feels good.

women can be stuck up for several reasons... one because she well is in fact beautifully gorgeous and she knows it! and it makes her feel better to let other women know it as well..
she wants everyone to know how great SHE is! like lOOK AT ME!
and some not so beautiful woman can be stuck up because they THINK that they are all that!
it's moslty just a stability issue too..women feel like they arnt good enough compared to other women and they'll get this mindset that they are horrible and have a low self esteeem, and one way to cover that low self profile is by acting snobby, or stuck up..

Well could be two reasons....One could be the amount of attention anyone gives them. Some girls feed off attention from anyone including same sex attention. Two because they feel they are better then everyone else regardless of their look and/or personality. Now I believe no one will make you feel any better then yourself so you have to "help yourself up" so to speak....But there's a fine line as to what confidence is compared to being cocky/stuck-up and well some girls just think they are better then others.

Some people are stuck up because of the way that they were brought up.
Thank God for my boyfriend who brought me back down to earth....lol...
