Yes. You cannot give what you do not have. (This can mean maybe you can find resources you never knew existed, but if you don't believe they're there, you may as well not have them.)
When our needs are met, we can freely give to others without wanting or needing anything back. That's what love is.

definitely, in order to see love in others and in God, you must see the good in yourself and know yourself, a very hard task yes

I would not speak to someone about something that I know nothing of personally
so how can I tell someone I love them , if I did not know love myself from myself
