It is a round bump that looks like a huge pimple. It sits on the top of my shoulder. Every once in a while it will secrete a thick whitish brown puss.

cyst, contact you doctor or a dermatologist they can drain it.

Boil or pustule..staff aureus infection..puss is dead white cells and bacteria...dont pop...cleanse eith soap, hydrogen peroxide / water rinse ..get medicla attention if does not heal within week.

Definitely an abscess. Be careful, because you can develop a nasty staff infection...which you definitely don't want. You should visit your Dr if you have had it for some time. They will clean it for you and probably give you antibiotics.

Puss = infection. Whatever it is, it requires medical attention.

it is a cyst. good thing is, most have to have it lanced for drainage. usually these are hereditary. your best bet is to have it removed. it is not cancerous.

it could be a boil u should go to the doctor and see if thats wat it is if thats hat it is they will cut it open and clean it out and then stich it back up
