I understand how you feel, exactly.
It all depends on your situation, though. Yes, you hate it. Can you do without it? Ask yourself these questions. Look at other things like job market, prospects, your experience, putting more stress on you and your BF, etc.
If its better to stay on after weighing the pros and cons, do it for a while more. However, don't stick too long if it really drains you. It will affect you mentally and physically!

It depends how persistent you are at being able to do job searching while at your current job. If you have the motivation/energy to do serious job searching and applications after work and can find some time to sneak away from work to go to interviews ("doctor's appointments?"), then I would wait until you have something lined up before you leave--no point in wasting the income.
However, if you know you're the type of person who won't be motivated to do a job search when the income is still coming in (or just don't have the time), I would quit so that you force yourself to make progress; otherwise you'll keep telling yourself that you'll "start looking soon" but never actually do it.

Don't just sit around waiting for "something to show up" - go out and look for another job. And it's not a good idea to quit your current job without having something else lined up.

If you are unhappy... look elsewhere! But do not leave until you find something else. Do not settle for any job because if you do you will be right back in the same boat you are in now. Find the right job for you and I promise you will be less stressed.

Nope, but get something lined up really quick. Once I got something lined up, in my case, my outlook got much better. I was happier because I could face my current job knowing that it would be over soon. Good luck.
