does "aionas ton aionon" mean forever and ever in greek or is there an end to the "ages of the ages"?

The phrase means "eternally" or "without end."

Elsewhere this phrase in used in Scripture and when it is, it does not mean a time that has an end. Two examples:

1. "Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen" (Phil. 4:20) - We will never stop giving God glory

2. "the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne," (Rev. 4:10). Jesus will never stop living
