I dream often and in color and am not afraid of my dreams. I can usually control things in my dreams. not a big deal. Something weird happened in my sleep the other night . I don't recall if I was dreaming but a loud voice in my head jolted me awake and the words were " Richard is dead " Richard is my ex huband that I have been divorced from for the last 8 years and I have no contact with him at all . I just wonder if I should find a way to check on him or if this is just silly. this is gonna sound weird and i am not a phsychic or anything like that , but quite often I have baby dreams and when I do it means someone i know is pregnant and i can usually tell the sex of the baby and have even known when one miscarried. Creepy I knwo but again i am not into the phsychic thing and that is not what i am .

Well, maybe you should check on him. not that he has to know, but then YOU will at least know for peace of mind.

There are some things which simply defy explanation, and your "knowing" when a friend is pregnant is one of those things. Women, especially, have intuition that can be downright uncanny at times.

Without any information about the status of your relationship with your ex, it's kinda hard to figure what your dream might mean. If it was and is a terrible relationship, perhaps you subconsciously would find it easier if he just didn't exist any more. If you still love him, your dream could be your way of working through fear that he might die before you get complete resolution about you and him.

If it won't stir things up for either of you, why not contact someone who knows him well (or contact him directly) to set yourself at ease. It's better than the not-knowing!

This happened to a woman I know while driving to the church that she and her husband ran together. On the way there a voice said to her, "What if you get there and he's dead?" She thought it was very strange that this happened, but later took it as God preparing her. Because when she arrived at the church she found him on his office floor, dead from a massive heart attack.
If it will set your mind at ease I would look into it. Sometimes God tells us things in this way, especially when it comes to deaths and births. You could be a natural Prophet. Meaning God speaks through you. Take this as a gift from God.

Do you know the city that he lives in these days? Just go online to the local newspaper there and search for his obit. No obit, probably no death. This way you can find out without calling him.... or..... hmmmmmm..... maybe you WANT to call him and the dream is a great excuse? Check your subconscious motives here. Something you will not admit to yourself may be creeping into your dreams to spur you to action.

Seems to me you're sort of secretly have some or a little feeling for the guy, at least enough for you to care if he's hurt or something. It's clear your conscience will not let you rest untill you know how he's doing, so, better find a way to contact him and see how are things are going.

some people are just more in tune with reality than others....you seem to be a little more clairvoyant than the average person. You can help yourself fine tune your dreaming experiences by adjusting your diet(avoid meats especially pork)! Eat fish, particularly fish high in omega3 like salmon.....a glass of orange juice and a banana before bed and I'll bet you'll master your dreams and see everything that's gonna happen before it does!

Sounds like Richard and you have a loves-hate relationship--in eight years and you still dream of him but in a way he is dead tells me you have some unresolved feelings --A relationship that did not end peacefully did not end at all.

Precognition and psychic ability do not exist. If anything, you might dream a lot of different scenarios and just remember the ones that turn out to occur. I encourage you to find out if Richard is still alive. Wouldn't that prove to you that precognitive dreams do not exist?

If you have a way of discreetly finding out if he is fine, it'd be a good idea to check. If something has happened, you should work on fine tuning your gift. If not, chalk it up to another random dream.

I agree with dee, it's kind to check on him. You may even call him up for a quick hello, you don't have to mention the dream but it woulnd't hurt if you wanted to either. It will give you peace of mind.
