Yes, you will file a tax return like anyone else, except that you will not be able to claim yourself as a dependent/exemption. If you withholding still exceeds your tax liability, you will receive a refund. You can still take the standard deduction ($5,150 for single in 2006) so if your income is below this amount you will receive all you withholding back.

Yes, you can get a refund even if you were claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return. If you had a job where you had federal income taxes withheld and you were claimed as a dependent on someone else's (I'm assuming your parents or your mom or dad would be claiming you) then you can get a refund if your withholdings were more than your tax liability. Obviously you need to have a return prepared to see if you are owed or if you owe.

Whether or not you get a tax refund depends on whether you paid in more than your total tax liability or not - if you paid in more than you owe, then the rest is refunded. It doesn't matter whether or not you are a dependent.

You have to file a return to get a refund. On your return you'll calculate your total tax, if any, and show what was withheld. If the "withheld" is larger than the total tax, the extra will be refunded to you.

Yes. Assuming you had withholding and your withholding exceeds your tax liability you can get a refund.
