Sleeping Beauty, Tom Thumb and the Hunchback of Notre Dame were talking to each other and Sleeping Beauty said that she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Tom Thumb said that he is the smallest person in the world.

The Hunchback said that he is the ugliest person in the world.

Just to reconfirm their claims, they all decided to go to the Guinness Books of Records to check their status.

Sleeping Beauty came out of the Guinness Books of Records Office with a big grin on her face as she has been reconfirmed as the most beautiful woman in the world.

Tom Thumb came out of the Guinness Books of Records Office dancing a jig and whistling a tune as he is still the smallest person in the world.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame came out with a confused look on his face.

Sleeping Beauty and Tom Thumb were curious and asked the Hunchback what was wrong.

In a dejected and confused voice the Hunchback asked………………..

"Who the f##k is Wayne Rooney ?"

For my whole fourteen years I have been raised on excellent music of nearly every decade. At first I did not like the synthesizer sound of the 80s, but I grew to love it and I embrace the spirit of the eighties that I never actually experienced. That whole decade seems like so much fun to me. I don't think you should bash the artists, but more the companies, as you said. Though synth is a delicate thing and pop could be very tacky and commercial, excellent bands did in fact exist in the eighties, some that started then and some that started earlier (The Police, The Clash, U2, David Bowie, Queen). Today they are regarded as classics, many of them deservingly, because they are actually good and remind music lovers of a different time. Your opinion is valuable, and you have a definite case, but be a little more open-minded. I am and am glad I have the privilege to hear eighties music on the radio. It is truly unique and precious. And one more thing, which I can't help but feel strongly about. Even my everlasting open-mindedness can't control my disgust for music today. Hip-Hop and R & B? Some is good, but nothing is original and our artists are even more sellout than the ones twenty years ago. Personally, THIS is the worst decade in music so far. Think about it. I'm almost sad to say that this is what I have to grow up with. I don't even share the same music interests as my peers, and we have a mutual contempt for the other's music. I may as well be a baby-boomer. Or born in the eighties.
