If you are not truly remorseful and do not truly resolve not to repeat the sin then it is not going to be forgiven.

Blows that theory right out of the water.

Good Luck!

Here's that answer you're looking for:

My favorite sin, which I committed hundreds of times, was to tell anyone who would listen to me that God doesn't exist and that anybody who believed "any of that nonsense the bible-thumpers spouted was a fool". Then I discovered that Jesus Christ came to the earth specifically for the purpose of dying, to pay the price for that sin and all of the others that I use to commit and still commit today, so that I could be perfect (in God's eyes) and join him in heaven. And once I confessed that I was a sinner, and accepted Jesus as my Savior, I received amnesty for all my past, present and future sins. I have a whole long list of sins that I've committed over the years, and each of them is forgiven. Oh, by the way, I sounded just like you do until I was 45 years old, so there's still hope for you.

Christians shouldn't have "favorite" sins because a true Christian knows that sin hurts them and their relationship with God, so they should not want to sin, even if they will be forgiven.

This is the third time I've answered one of your questions and I have to say, my current favorite sin to commit and be forgive of is talking with you!

You are a funny guy, seriously. Your not like all the other atheists out there who either seem to be Atheists because their mother's locked them in closets and gave them enema's while reading from Corinthians or are just afraid someone else might be happy. You seem to have thought things out. You ask clear, concise questions with a sense of humor and you don't try to come up with impossible logical conundrums which make no sense and are easily ripped apart by a Third grader with a Thesaurus.

You're challenging and so you, sir, are my favorite new sin.

Now if you'll excuse me, I owe ten hail Mary's and 5 Pater Nosters for our communication.
:)

I don't like to sin, and I try not to sin repeatedly; therefore, for me, this question is unanswerable.

Most Christians are the same as me.

Edit: I vote Cindy H as best answer!

Sin is never a favorite.

I regularly commit the sin of gluttony. I don't confess it because I am unrepentant. I know I'll just go and do it again. I hate it. I regularly tell myself I won't do it. But I do.

So I am not forgiven for it.

My most commited sin is probably swearing, but I won't call it a "favorite". I would think that anyone who has a "favorite" sin isn't sincere in repenting that sin.

Everyone sins we just pray for forgiveness and strength to fight ourselves from repeating the sin. We don't just repent everytime we do something and think we can go out and do it again. That's not how forgiveness works. You actually have to mean it when you repent and ask for forgiveness for you to be forgiven for it.

Christians dont try to sin...just because God forgives you doesnt mean you can sin whenever you want to

So far what they seem to be saying is that they just can't help it.

Waiting for specifics....

gees, we atheists don't try to sin either... but apparently what makes them superior is that their forgiven.
