Ok I'm Getting A Tatoo Within The Next Year Or So.. And I Have Problems With My Body Rejecting Peircings Such As My Bellie Button Which Constantly Rejects Peircings And When I Was Little I Had Problems With My Ear Peircings, But They're Fine Now And I'm Wondering Would It Be A Bit Risky Getting A Tatoo With These Problems ? Is There Any Tests I Can Get To Get The All Clear ? Or Could I Simply Go In And Ask For Just A Small Peice To Be Done And See The Results ?

I have the same excact issue. Here is what you do:

Choose the place where you want to get the tattoo done at, because all of them use different types of ink. Ask someone there for a small sample of the ink (the colors you would use) and but it on your arm or leg with a band aid. Put the ink on the bandaid and let it sit on your skin for three days up to a week to see if you will have a reaction. If there is any redness or anything do not do it. If you have no reaction, it's a go! : )

Trust me on this, I had to do it already.

I would guess that you are allergic to the metal in the jewelry, ie. stainless steel, gold, silver, whatever type was used. What I suggest, is that you discuss this issue with the tattoo artist that you choose (they should have you fill out a questionnaire prior to doing any work on you anyway). They can actually run a "dry" tattoo on you. What this consists of, is basically running the tattoo gun over your skin without ink. This will indicate weather or not it will be an issue. This service should be free of charge, a reputable artist would not take the chance of tattooing on your skin knowing your medical issues with reactions without doing this. Hope this helps, good luck

Go to a skin doctor first thing. If that doesn't help, get a dot just to see how you react to it. That way you don't spend a whole lot of money even on a small tattoo. A tattoo artist shouldn't mind just doing that for free if he knows that he or she is the one you will be going back to.
