I am 27 years old, and I desperately want to go to William Paterson University to be a music teacher. Does anyone know of any organizations that would pay for my schooling?

The best way of finding money to go to William Paterson University is several different approaches including the FAFSA form, and I recommend applying to many scholarships no matter the amount. Since you will be considered an independent student instead of under your parents' income, it is the wiser choice. I will include some other sources to locate money for college tuition.

First, fill out the FAFSA form. It will award you a percentage of money based on your income and savings (family income and savings if married). It will qualify you for a Pell Grant. In addition, it will qualify you for need based college scholarships and student loans.

Second, a campus work study job can help with money needed during the school year. The program is funded by the federal government. It will be a job on campus and most times can work to your availability schedule. There should be a box on the FAFSA form for it.

Third, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!
