The single most fundamental difference between Christian Protestants and Jehovah's Witnesses is their belief that only 144,000 will go to heaven and the rest of faithful, believing JW's will live forever on a paradise earth. Because they have this 'two-tier' salvation, only a tiny fraction of JW's are in a covenant relationship with Jesus and have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Those are the ones who can partake of the bread and wine. They have a heavenly hope. The rest cannot. They have an earthly hope. This means the vast majority of JW's are not in the New Covenant - they are not part of the annointed class.

Jesus said "This cup means the new covenant, by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf" (Luke 22:20). If you are not in this New Covenant, then Christ's outpoured blood does not cover you. Faith in Jesus, repentance and baptism are all necessary steps towards salvation, but if you have not received the Holy Spirit then you cannot be sure your sins have been forgien. 'Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each one of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the Holy Spirit." This is the proof that our sins have been forgiven - the Holy Spirit comes upon us. According to Romans 8: 9 "If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ". The rest of Romans chapter 8 goes on to explain that the world is divided into two camps - those who have the Spirit of Christ and those who do not. Where does that leave all those JW's who are not in this New Covenant, and who do not have the Holy Spirit's anointing?

They have been told they can have 'a measure' of the Holy Spirit but cannot be fully anointed. Yet John the Baptist said of Jesus, "For the one whom God sent forth speaks the sayings of God, for he does not give the spirit by measure" (John 3: 34). Only those in a covenant relationship with God belong to him and are saved. This means that millions of JW's cannot be declared righteous, their sins remain unforgiven and they will die in their sins (Heb. 10: 10-22).

This is a tragic travesty of the true Gospel message (John 3:12-21).

Jehovah's Witnesses are relatively unique among self-described Christians in that they understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

fundamentalist Christians believe that only protestants are going to heaven.

Jehovah Witnesses believe that only JW's are going to heaven.

fundamentalist Christians only believe in early day prophets who wrote the Bible, etc...

JW's believe in more modern day prophets who were descendants of God.

Both have superiority complexes and believe they are the one true faith....both scare the heck out of me...because they want to make the world them

JW's don't believe in the Trinity. And boy! Do they hate us Catholics! But then, everyone does.
