She's leaning her whole body to her "good side" so that she doesn't have to set the bad foot/leg down. It's such a sad sight. Is there anything I should/could do while I wait for our appt? :(........................

I don't know... does she like for you to hold her? Maybe just drape a cloth over the cage so she can go to sleep while she's waiting. Good luck!

once you're something like me, being "mentally arranged" is understanding the worst feasible eventualities. Be arranged that the vet might prefer to take him decrease back to the place of work for x-rays, so get the service waiting. You did no longer point out how your kitten landed? Did he l and on his ft? The fluid and the wheezing may be feasible if he cracked a rib. you won't experience a cracked rib till you have been knowledgeable, even with the undeniable fact that it may impression lung functionality and respiration. There could desire to be some injury around the nasal area that could desire to impression his respiration. Co-by the style, he could have a kitty chilly, which affected his stability/equilibrium, that's why he fell in the 1st place. you're doing the suited undertaking by way of protecting the kitten calm -- he little question had the wind knocked out of him enormous time. Now, you're able to be able to desire to maintain calm. Make an incredible cup of tea, the vet must be transforming into thecontinual in a jiffy. solid success and stay calm. extra: thank you for the replace....spleens could nicely be bumped off and livers can heal. i'm going to deliver solid innovations to your cat's finished restoration. besides to your prayers, create a halo of sparkling white easy of secure practices around your cat. solid success, and that i'm hoping all is nicely.

Just relax the bird will do what it needs to that way it stays in as little pain as possible. If you notice redness or a cut dab a q-tip in some peroxide and gentle brush it on. Theres not much to do besides wait for the vet

Ahh

Well at least you are seeing the Vet in 4 hours. Um, call the Vets office back and ask them what you can do to help your bird feel comfy for the next 4 hours. They know it's urgent and so they won't mind you calling again. Good luck

Maybe Bumblefoot.Hopefully not. Bumblefoot is defined as being a staph infection on the bottom of the feet or toes. It is a painful condition. If it is,your vet may recommend hot soaks, antibiotics, and/or maybe even surgery.Hope all is/goes well.

She should be okay for 4 hours. They(parakeets) can stand on one leg fo a good while- but I dunno how long. I have 7 Parakeets and I know Id be in a right bad spot if anything happened to one of mine. But I think it will be okay for 4 hours. I dont know what you can do exactly. Keep an eye on her. Make sure she isnt sick or getting sick othrwise. (god-forbid) Good luck hon/ She should be okay until the vet can see her. I know its hard to watch.

Ok, first, calm down! Now, get a box, fill it with cotton or tissues, and put the bird in, mak sure you dont close the box ok! And try to calm her down a lot, and keep her from walking too much!

Just place your little friend in a safe environment so that it can not do further injury to itself.

Give her some crutches or a wheel chair, silly. You can buy these at a toy store with "Paraplegic Barbie" accessories.

p.s. Try not to drool so much. Or are those tears?
