How can I rig this thing up to work? I am willing to spend money, etc. but definitely need to have a tent air conditioner (not "cooler" but "conditioner"). Also, I cant use one of those swampy coolers because where we camp is quite humid.

The reason we need it is because of some special needs that we have physically. So - can anyone tell me? Also, if we are at an electrical site, they usually only have volts that go up to 50v - does that help? THANK YOU to everyone who can help me!

For $350-$800 you could buy a portable AC unit like the ones shown here:

Similar ones are sold in different places. As long as you are camping on an electric site you should be able to use it. Of course, you'll lose a lot of cool air through the tent windows and door (when it's open), but it should still be able to lower the heat a few degrees and reduce humidity. Good luck.

Sears has a couple of different models (on wheels) that vent and exhaust through a hose that you run outside...they just sit on the floor in the room of your choice. Should work great for a tent. The 50amp service would be plenty.

A big bowl of Ice and a fan blowing air over it.(Earliest air conditioning from the 1930's)Used on many early passenger trains.

Get an RV, they come with AC! Or stay in a cabin.
