how did it turn out? i did it last night, i felt a tremendous urge to paint, being influenced by the the sky that was so beautiful. it was homegrown grass, that a friend grew, and it was extremely strong and awesome. i listened to "wish you were here" and it was creepy... but i was kinda dissappointed from the picture- icouldn't quiet control my drawing or the pastels i used, and it turned out 2 b a surreal, disturbing self portrait.

na im not a pothead so i do not paint while i smoke. I feel it inhibits my natural ability to paint and be creative. Some artist feel the need or enjoy working under the influence, Im not one of them. I am a heavy drinker but rarely if never work while drunk. I do some drawing sometime but feel I spend too much time building my supports to waste on drunken crap I will most likely end up with. I suppose my outer influences are the music I am listening to which in a way is similar to other stimulants?

Drink wine and do still lifes. Never do a self portrait under the influence of anything. You'll just paint the bad, the sad and the scary...you might even end up chopping off an ear.

The inspiration is great but....well the result (as you noticed) socks hard.

Just make notes so you don't forget and do the 'real art' when you are sober again. Smoking and work don't mix.
