my firend is 17, shes bulimic and she really wants help. I told here i would arrange with her to see a doctor. But does she have to see her own GP (shes not sure who her gp is) or can she see mine?.. thanks!

She can see any doctor that her insurance will cover. If she doesn't have insurance, then look in the phone book at the community resources page and there should be a number you can call dealing with eating disorders. If she is ready to seek help on this issue, that is a HUGE step. You are a good friend by being supportive. GL!!

If your doctor is accepting new patients, and is willing to take on a bulimic patient, then sure you can. But your insurance won't cover her - she'll have to have her own insurance or pay her own bill, unless you're going to be that generous, too.
