Match Game is played with six stars and two contestants. Gene Rayburn asks the contestant furthest from the question box to pick either A or B. He then has the stars write down the answer that will best fill in the blank, after they are done, they put it in a slot. He then asks the same question to the contestant, if the stars match what the contestant said, they are awarded that star. In round two, the stars that matched in the previous round are locked out, the contestant who matches the most stars wins the game after two rounds. They then go on to play the Super Match where one can win over $5,000. Here they play the audience match to determine how much they will be playing for. That is multiplied by 10 for the final super match.
