Per Yahoo's definition of immigrant:

" im·mi·grant audio (m-grnt) KEY

NOUN:

1. A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another."

Another words...People who are BORN in the USA are not immigrants...they are CITIZENS.

They claim that children of illegals born in the US are citizens, yet children of citizens are immigrants. How convenient and totally illogical. They want citizenship for their children while telling us to go 'back' to Europe. I wonder why pro-illegal citizens can't see that this makes no sense.

What ancestors are you talking about? My ancestors moved to america legally. They were legal immagrints. My four fathers, who started this nation fought for freedom. With that freedom they gave the ability for immagrints to become americans, and be free EASIER than other nations. Other nations require you to be a doctor or something helpful to that nation. The U.S. does not require that. All the U.S. requires is that you become naturalized. It sucks that if a child of illegal immagrints is born in america that, that child is considered an american, an his illegal parents can live off of our welfare system. This should be stopped. This is one way that illegal aliens stay in america illegally. No amnesty for illegals.

christa k--our four fathers were not immagrints. They were born in america but it was controlled by the U.K. They revolted for freedom. They were not illegal, nor an immagrint. They would not roll in their graves, becasue they felt the same way. You must pay your dues to become an american. They made they law!!! You are probably an illegal who doesn't know american history, rambling about stuff you know nothing about.

your right. let them say what they want. my family has been here since 1620. I'm an American. all they want to do is try to make us feel guilty for being born here. they had their chance when we offered them to join America, and they said no. all we need to worry about is not letting our commie govt pass this ridicules amnesty bill.

Maybe people are using that defense because if we look back in history and see how it truly was and how it changed it will help those understand. But, that argument isnt working cuz those that dont believe in our history are pig headed.

We were built on different fundamentals then we are today and its sickening. Our forefathers, and those that did immigrate here would roll over in their graves if they saw how predjudice and greedy and stupid we have become!

This is NOT how they wanted America to be. It was built on freedom and making a better life.

Our ancestors were attacked by native Americans because they were not welcome.
Should we today follow the lead of our ancestors?

They are just trying to make what their extremist group (La Raza) teaches hold water.

... It doesn't.

We are here, we whipped their ancestors' *sses, and that's that. If they want this country, they should try to fight for it like we had to.
