I have had my eyebrow ring for about 13 months and it's still healing. This is the second time I've got it done in the same spot. The first one I kept yanking on it by combing my bang, that didn't feel to good so I just took it out and let it close. This one I am more careful with however, I must admit that I don't clean it everyday, but out of a week I would say it gets cleaned maybe 4 days out of 7. It gets that crusty dry crap around the ring and it freaks me out. I clean it with regular dial soap (antibacterial) and the spray (for piercings) that the people gave me at the tattoo parlor so shouldn't it be healed by now or am I just being impatient????

Stop using the soap, it prolongs healing (as you've found out). A year is average, so it could take a little longer, or a little less time. Some piercings will continue to have lymph (the crusty stuff) for even longer. Sea salt soaks once per day, about 5 mins at a time will help. Don't pick at the 'crust' - remove it gently with a cotton swab after you soak the piercing (and after a shower if you do those at different times). Don't let any hair products get near it (cover when using hair spray, etc), and try not to touch it if you don't have to.

it all depends on your hair, products you use, your skin etc. I had mine done and it was really badly infected soi let it close theni had it redoes in the same spot (thru the scar tissue) so it took a little longer to heal.. but it was healed in about 4 months. I still every once in a while notice a crust and just take it out and clean it.
Also I cant wear rings it had to be a bar?? rings get infected.. or if the bar is too small (short) or the plastic or gold bars i cant wear.. try a sterling silver, surgical steel or titainum bar, that mght help. it helped me.

i had mine pierced, about 7 years ago. I was told it should be completely healed in 6 months, which from what i remember it was healed before that. i don't remember the crusty stuff still coming on. i kept mine in a good 2 years or so. And it seemed fine. Maybe your body is trying to reject it.

I had this same problem. I was told that some people just can't take an eyebrow piercing, that somehow the skin rejects it. Only with me, I was washing my face one morning and the ring fell out along with my skin that was covering the piercing!!! It was really nasty and now I'm left with a deep scar so I think you need to see your doc about this.

it probably should have healed already...i have mine done with a barbell & it only took like 6 weeks to heal & i never used any special products to clean it...some people`s bodies just reject certain piercings...for example, i`ve had my navel done 4 separate times & it was never good, so i just had to give up on that one...

If I were you, I would call the place where you got the piercing. The trained professionals there will know the answer to your question.. It's their job!
