if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I just paid the postage and handling, but for what I got it was well worth it. You just go to www.myhealthabc.com to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. The nutritionist I am sure can get you to where you want to be. I hope this helps.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

As a physician that has a specialization in weight loss and in performance for athletes, I help people get back into better health with nutrition and exercise, and its possible to lose weight and look and feel better if you make a true LIFESTYLE CHANGE .
I wouldnt focus on how many pounds but how you look and feel.
First and foremost, starvation is NOT the way to go. So follow these steps, its not easy at first but it simply depends how motivated you are, and once you start to see results you will never go back!!
1. First , you must eat often. 5-6 times a day AND IT HAS TO BE A NUTRITIOUS DIET NOT JUNK. you want to gain muscle and lose fat . Starvation does not work in any healthy manner, your body simply slows down your metabolism. Bodies that are well fed mobilize fats for energy and build healthy lean muscle.
Bodies that are starved 12 hours a day simply tend to STORE the next meal they do get because it doesnt know when the next meal is coming. Its evolution in action.
Another way to look at it.You can't build a temple out of mud right? So you have to eat right.
Three sensible meals with 2-3 supplemental meals.(see #2 below) Some basic rules:
NO refined sugars( no pop candies cookies etc)
minimal refined grains like white bread and white pasta and white rice. If its white its not right. (whole grains in bread and pastas etc) whole grains have much higher fiber content, greater vitamin content and digest slower to blunt the carbohydrate release into the bloodstream.
Protein is essential. Lean meats, especially chicken breast, turkey breast. and fish, baked or steamed not fried. Extra meals should be high protein low carb, low fat such as a protein shake. (there are many on the market that are not too expensive) aNotice that I said LOW carb and fat not NO carb and fat. Keep fat to around 20% of total calories if possible.
Vegetables should be consumed at least 5 times a day. Water should be consumed aggressively 6-10 glasses a day.
Bodybuilders that are trying to gain weight use whey protein shakes in bewtween meals to provide muscles with the building blocks they need to GROW!! You have the same goal as they do: FAT loss and LEAN mass gain, So these are very helpful. They are not expensive. I get my whey protein powder at Sams Club for 22 dollars for 6 pounds. thats enough for 3-4 month at least. You can add fruit to it and blend it to make it a tastier. I also add my vitamin supplements to those shakes.
A brief word on supplements: a good multivitamin and an Omega 3 supplement are a great base. If you eat well supplementation will be at a minimum. I do take creatine and a resveratrol/pomegrate supplement and cranberry extract, but thats a personal choice I make based on my research and I don't make blanket recommendations beyond the Omegas because they are so important and really are hard to get in todays modern world.
2. RESISTANCE TRAINING is KEY!! The mistake that many folks who are trying to lose weight is to do all cardio and no weight training. Your weight loss regimen should be at least 30-50% weight training. That means WEIGHT TRAINING or sit ups, pull ups ,chin ups, and dips.
Muscles only grow when they are pushed near thier maximum ability and when they do that they burn fat. So hit a weight room, get a buddy to help you. You might have to start at lower weights but hey they all started there. You do this for YOU and not for anyone else.
Go to the library and get an excellent book like BODY FOR LIFE by BILL MILLER. He lays it all out for you in a very motivational and educational way.
Go out get motivated, educate yourself and don't look back because only you have the power to obtain your goals YOU CAN DO IT!!
You have to make real lifestyle change and truly eat better and exercise. I know you can do it!!!! any other questions? email me at vita_min_md@yahoo.com

Get with the lukemia lymphoma society, and team in training. Run a marathon, and save two lives: yours and someone elses.
The male-pattern obesity drives all sorts of bad stuff: diabetes, apnea etc... Lose that and you will be amazed at how good you feel.
