OK I have two questions. For 1: I want to do aerobic exercises but without using my legs, due to an injury. Any ideas? Swimming is not an option as there is NO facility in my area. For 2: I ma trying to remove scar tissue underneath my skin. I read an article which talked about using ice to numb, then massaging the area, then using heat to promote blood flow, but this has caused immense pain!!! Any ideas on how to get the scar tissue alleviated, which in turn I think will decrease the pain..??

You could use a weights machine with a low weight and do many repititions. This will increase your muscular endurance and you will be working aerobically. You could use other arms only equipment at the gym as well, I can't remember the name but its like an abdominal twist. This depends on how bad your injury is and what type but you could use a cross trainer with your arms only and letting your legs relax.

You don't say if you are in a wheelchair or not. I have seen recommendations for just wheeling the chair consistently for 30 minutes is an aerobic workout. Also, playing basketball or it's equivalent from a chair or wheelchair.
Scar tissue is a build up of collagen fibres that collect in an injured area to replace lost tissues. I have seen many advertisements for reducing surface scarring on the skin but none for home remedies for under-skin scarring. If you have a physician available I would consult him/her for medical options and possibly a napropath or chiropractor for non-invasive treatment options.

Dont worry. Its outpatient surgery so you will leave that day. You go to the like post surgical room or whatever, then you go to crutch training. You should leave within a few hours. You should be on crutches for at least a week, but that decision is up to your doctor. You will not have a brace on when its finished. Your knee will be wrapped in an ace bandage. The next day or so you will probably be wearing a brace. There are different kinds of braces so I dont know what yours will be. Usually it will be one with straps and hinges so it wont allow your leg to bend. Good luck and if you have any more questions, call your doctor.
