An apple or other fresh fruit that's easy to eat out of hand will give you a little sugar boost and some fiber.
Something with a little protein like a handfull of nuts, (look for some with low salt added or brush off the visible salt,) or cheese sticks, small containers of cottage cheese, or yogurt will give you a boost.
If possible, take a couple of minutes and walk around. Go up and down a flight of stairs. This will get your heart pumping a little faster, will encourage deeper breaths, and work off some of the additional calories from your snack.
The combination will do wonders.

well, if you're a smoker you could always go outside and smoke, because the nicotine will stimulate you and give you a little jolt. Bring some trail mix or something with you. Not only to they have peanuts in them, but they have raisins, m&m's, etc. You could even go to a place like Health Foods and get all the stuff seperatly that you would put in trail mix and mix and match to what you would like best. Another good thing to have is that pill called No Dose. You can buy it at pharmacies and that will keep you awake for a good couple of hours. Someone I work with was just telling me about how they sometimes almost dose off here where I work and it helps give them energy to get through the day. Get up and stretch too if you are sitting down, it helps your blood circulate through your body, and take a walk around the office to get the energy going. That is all I could think of, but I hope it helps. Good Luck!

Peanuts....they actually are a great sorce of quick energy intake. Just a handfull is good for most. I work 24hr shifts and munch on several different types from cashews to peanuts throughout the day. Their good for you....
Energy drinks mostly work for a SHORT amount of time because of the amount of sugar. Many people don't know that they can be very fattening.

Eat a lunch with complex carbs and protein, and then have a snack with a combination of simple and complex carbs when you start to feel the slump. Something like a granola bar or whole grain crackers and fruit would probably be good.

I have the same problem. I will sit at my desk with my feet up and eyes closed for 10 or 15 minutes. After that I load up on water, and off I go until the end of the day.
Give it a try.
