No it's not. If you think that this is what happened, then it wasn't love to start with. It was lust, infatuation, even obsession, but it wasn't love. Love is a returned feeling of caring for the other person and them caring for you, and it is long lasting.

You love them too much if you allow it to interfere with your regular personal life or your family. Keep your priorities straight and love can reach the moon!

Simply, yes. One has to love oneself first before they can really love someone else.

To give of yourself over another is to deny your own existence, your own sense of self. To keep it short, it spells disaster for you and all involved.

Love others yes, with your whole heart, but never forget that without you, none of this love can occur.

To keep the love of others growing, please take time to love yourself, which means to respect yourself, who you are, who you may want to be, what you bring to this world and to others. Nobody is like you, special yes, but also unique.

Take care of yourself, the world depends on people like you.
