im starting to eat healthier and exercise more but i dont want to completely deprive myself of the things i used to eat. so i was wondering if eating a mcdonalds meal or ice cream from DQ would be alright

Yes that would be fine but i would reccomend biweekly, try to take and purchase things that are small and that if you eat wouldnt be upset about, ice cream cone would probably be better over big macs, but either will work as long as you dont just eat tons, good luck on your diet!!! beware that once you start the diet and limit your salt that you will get cravings for chips and bad foods. good luck!!

Well, I don't think ever week is OK...I mean if you look on the back of the tray cover things it shows the nutrition facts, and alot is not very healthy. I mean, it's better to go and get a salad from Applebees or something so that way you don't have to have all the fat in it. And if you still want something for dessert you can get a Blondie or something. And the rest of the week you should make homemade meals. And when you eat, you should have 6 oz of meat. and 3/4 of your plate filled with vegetables. You don't need any bread, unless your doctor recommends it. Then drink lots of water and at meals you can drink low fat or fat free milk. It has ALOT less fat then regular milk. Fatty Milk is one of the reasons people gain wait. Also have a good breakfast if you don't get sick from it. Have a peice of toast with jelly or butter on it, and maybe a glass of orange juice or grape juice. Or else have a low fat grain muffin, Or a cereal like Chex, corn flakes or cheerios.
And for the ice cream thing, you can have At least 2 cups a week after supper. And BUY it from the STORE or else get 1 cone from McDonald's. Their ice cream is very low in fat and calories. 1 cone is about 80 calories, since it's not ice cream it frozen yogurt.

i know were you are coming from i once tried to completely stop eating the hings that i like but then you crack and pig out. i would say you can have ice cream once a week but id say every 2-3 weeks for McDonald's because there is a huge amount off fat in all o its products plus if you read what goes into that stuff it would knock you sick.plus if you are eating really healthily then you eat unhealthily it will have more of an effect on you than someone who eats it regularly :)

grr all these diet questions, can u truly be happy if u are worried about what you eat all the time? if u are exercising and trying to get healthier fine but why deprive yourself of anything at all? why not eat a burger with a glass of water? or an ice cream with water? have fun i dont think you should change or deprive yourself good luck

McDonalds has ALOT of fat in their food its better to eat home made burgars and store bought ice cream that says light and fit or healthy you know something thats helathy whats better is homemade squeezed juice with apples and stuff yum every morning

There are not really any bad foods. You need to control the amount of food you eat. Eating something once a week, if you do not eat a ton of it will not hurt your diet. It is good to reward yourself with things that are not really good for you as long as that reward is realistic.

well yes, just don't go buy for two people and don't eat too much of the mcdonalds... like if you are having a burger don't also get the fries.. and if you want the fries than skip the burger. get the fries and a side salad...
or the nuggets with a baked potato...

You have to treat yourself sometimes and ice cream is so good. It is good to be in shape, but you gotta keep yourself happy. Don't worry too much about it, just be sensible
