Naturally my hair is med to dark brown. I dyed it using Herbal Essences spicy ginger hoping for a nice dark auburn color. It turned out very very bright, almost dark pink in color and not only that but somehow I missed spot where my hair parts and it's very obvious. I have box of basic brown in the closet, Revlon Colorsilk, in light brown. Can I dye over this or is it too soon? I am very tempted to do it, any one else ever dye 2x in a matter of days?

Yes, you should go to the salon, yes a professional should fix it. Although I know the feeling of not wanting to go out of the house with messed up hair. You're hair won't fall out if you re-dye it. You should make sure you do condition it well and often afterward. Consider the worst that could happen and make your decision based on that. Purple hair wouldn't be a solution.

Because you have spots and are a level and tone you don't want I would stop and head to a salon. The base needs to evened out and the level and tone corrected. That is not for you to try to figure out. I would suggest booking with a color correction specialist and having them sort this out for you. If you have a few days before you can get in you can do a reconditioning treatment at home. Best of luck.

I would suggest to go get it done professionaly.. I once did something sort of like that to my hair.. although mine ended up orange... not a pretty picture.. and i went to a salon to fix it.. So, either dye your hair with a medium ashy brown color all over or go to a salon and get the color that you want..

Good luck!!

You should get it done professionally, You could screw it up worse. My best friend is a manager at a salon and I see problems like this all the time. and the more you screw it up with more color, the harder it is to fix it. GO TO THE SALON! Not only that, but it may cost even more the more messed up it is.

I'd give it another day or two, just to be on the safe side. On the side of the box, they usually have a color reference to see what your hair will end up looking like.

You could do it twice in one day, if you hair is strong and health enough, I've done it and I still have my hair. What so you think they do in the salon when people want to go blonde? They bleach their hair, and then add color.

You should consult a stylist. You can mess up your hair even more, plus damage it with the extra color. A stylist can help you get the color you want.
