Think of your favorite wine grape, maybe try that grape from a country you never tried before. It would be new, different and exciting. Another suggestion would be to purchase something you know and like, staying in your comfort zone will help you relax.

Getting warm out, I'd recommend a Sauvignon Blanc or an unoaked Chardonnay. Actual wine labels differ by state, but if you have Roshambo or Clos la Chance Sauvignon blanc, both of those are excelent choices.

Another idea: try a white bordeaux. White bordeaux's are typically aged in stainless steel for that easy crisp flavor, and are typically made from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, both light grapes.

I have grown to enjoy an Albraino during the week. It's fruity and light. I can drink it during the week, especially now that the weather is warming up. Plus, it pairs nicely with light tapas, fish, or chicken.

I was recently reading Vinodiversity and learned that Australia is now producing Albraino wine (not just a Spanish or Portuguese export any longer).

Enjoy!

Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages (French) - very good and cheap - $8-$10
Ravenswood Vintners Blend Red Zinfandel (California) is also very good, also around $10.
At least these are the prices in PA.

Lacking any real plan, I usually opt for one of Asti's dolcettos for a red or, if in a white mood, an Alsatian riesling.
